Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM)

MedBridge® Remote Therapeutic Monitoring
Personalized Therapy. Guided Expertise. From the Comfort of Home.

At Summit Orthopedics of Texas, we believe recovery shouldn’t stop when you leave the clinic. Our MedBridge® Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) program allows patients to continue structured, guided rehabilitation from the comfort of home, with ongoing oversight from our experienced clinical team.

This program is designed to improve outcomes, increase accountability, and keep your recovery moving forward - safely and effectively.

What Is Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM)?

Remote Therapeutic Monitoring is a clinically guided program that uses secure digital tools to:

  • Deliver customized exercise programs
  • Track patient participation and progress
  • Allow our care team to monitor, adjust, and guide treatment remotely

RTM is commonly used for post-operative rehabilitation, injury recovery, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

Expert Guidance - Not a Generic App

Your MedBridge program is personally directed by our Physician Assistant, who brings:

  • 20+ years of experience in orthopedic and sports medicine
  • Extensive expertise in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and functional recovery
  • A hands-on, patient-focused approach that bridges medical care and real-world movement

Patients often describe this guidance as having a clinical coach, movement specialist, and accountability partner all in one - helping you stay motivated while progressing safely.

What Patients Can Expect

With the MedBridge RTM program, you’ll receive:

  • A personalized exercise plan tailored to your diagnosis, surgery, or injury
  • Clear video-guided instructions you can follow at home
  • Ongoing monitoring and adjustments based on your progress
  • Direct clinical oversight, not automated feedback
  • Convenience and flexibility that fits your schedule

This approach allows us to extend care beyond in-office visits while maintaining high clinical standards.

Who May Benefit From RTM?

Remote Therapeutic Monitoring may be recommended for patients who:

  • Are recovering from orthopedic surgery
  • Have sports-related or overuse injuries
  • Want structured guidance between office or physical therapy visits
  • Prefer at-home rehabilitation with professional oversight

Your provider will determine if RTM is appropriate for your condition and treatment plan.

Care That Fits Your Life

Our goal is to combine modern technology with experienced clinical judgment - delivering rehabilitation that is effective, accessible, and personalized.

At Summit Orthopedics of Texas, RTM is not about replacing in-person care. It’s about enhancing continuity, accountability, and results.

Accessing Your Exercises in MedBridge Go

MedBridge® Remote Therapeutic Monitoring FAQs Is the MedBridge RTM program covered by insurance? Remote Therapeutic Monitoring may be covered by many insurance plans, depending on your benefits and medical necessity. Coverage and patient responsibility can vary by plan. Our team will review your eligibility and discuss any potential out-of-pocket costs with you before enrollment.

Will I receive a bill for the RTM program?

Remote Therapeutic Monitoring services are billed based on clinical monitoring and professional oversight, not simply access to the MedBridge platform. Because RTM billing depends on actual time and services provided during the monitoring period, patient responsibility cannot be determined in advance.

Self-pay options are available for patients who prefer to pay out of pocket or whose insurance does not cover RTM services. Our team can review general program details upon request.

How much time does the program require?

The program is designed to fit into your daily routine. Most patients spend:

  • 10–20 minutes per session, several times per week
  • Completing guided exercises at home

Your care team monitors participation and progress to ensure the program remains effective and appropriate.

Do I need special equipment or devices?

No specialized medical equipment is required.

You’ll need:

  • A smartphone, tablet, or computer
  • Internet access

All exercises are delivered through secure, easy-to-follow video instructions.

Is MedBridge a replacement for physical therapy or office visits?

No. RTM is designed to complement in-office care or physical therapy, not replace it. Your provider will determine how RTM fits into your overall treatment plan.

Who monitors my progress?

Your program is monitored by our orthopedic clinical team, including direct oversight from our experienced PA-C. This ensures your exercises remain safe, appropriate, and aligned with your recovery goals.
